On Thursday at 2240 hrs, #Truck33 responded as the second due truck for the reported apartment fire in the 6000BLK of 67th Ave on Box 13-10. Engine Co. 28 arrived as the first due engine with fire showing from the terrace level of a garden style apartment building and sounded the working fire dispatch, which brought #E332 to the scene. TK33 arrived and immediately threw ladders to Side C and used the ladders to enter the building and conduct searches on the floor above the fire. E332 arrived and ran the 250’ stinger line to the 2nd floor checking for extension above the fire.

The firemen from Kentland worked for 1.5 hours before returning to Landover just as major thunderstorms moved into the area. After this fire, the volunteers from Kentland ran 34 calls in the next 24 hours.

A firefighter in full gear stands outside a smoky building at night, holding hoses. Smoke billows from windows as hoses are spread across the wet street. Red emergency lights illuminate the scene.
